We aim to support the victims of road accidents, organise a peaceful demonstration, and push for serious road safety reform in Uganda.

Stand Up for Road Safety in Uganda: Save Lives Now

Every day, Ugandan families are torn apart by deadly road accidents. Just recently, a YY Coaches bus crashed along Katosi Road, leaving several dead and many injured. Inaction from authorities is costing lives.People are dying every day and no one has stood up to make a difference and this is the result :1746705783_img-20241012-wa0000.jpg

And we can't sit down watching our families burning in these accidents everyday. We are crying every single day just looking at our parents, brothers, sisters and siblings burning and at the end of day they bring to us  scorched burnt parts that are left of our dears ones... It really hurts and the pain is too much to bear....  We seeks your help to  support us and  other  victims of these accidents , organise a peaceful demonstration, and push for serious road safety reform in Uganda.

WHAT WE’RE RAISING FUNDS FOR:

1. Support for Affected Families

  • Medical treatment
  • Burial expenses
  • Trauma counselling

2. Organising a National Awareness Campaign

  • Peaceful demonstration to demand reform
  • Media coverage to bring attention to the crisis
  • Educational outreach for road safety

3. Production of Advocacy Materials

  • Posters, videos, and flyers
  • Transport logistics for demonstrators
  • Radio & social media campaigns

WHY THIS MATTERS:

According to the Uganda Police, more than 25,000 road crashes were reported in 2024 alone, with over 2,300 lives lost in just six months. Entire communities are being devastated — but no meaningful action has been taken.

We believe enough is enough. Through this campaign, we are amplifying the voices of victims and demanding safer roads, stronger regulation, and a national response to end the bloodshed.

WHO WE ARE:

We are a grassroots coalition of concerned Ugandans — survivors, youth, and community leaders — who refuse to stay silent while more lives are lost. We are committed to peaceful, impactful action that demands attention.
