Thank you all for your birthday messages on Friday for the library’s 125th anniversary. It was fantastic to receive all your good wishes. Though we are in lockdown we celebrated with a slice of Victoria sponge and a cup of Earl Grey, and raised a collective glass to the library from our various abodes.

We are also pleased to announce Joel Kitzmiller as the winner of our birthday competition! We will be sending out a party bag with the current issues of UltraBold and Eye, a Commercial Classics type specimen, two beautiful letterpress prints created by Graham Moss of Incline Press for our anniversary and a free ticket to both our online Beatrice Warde lecture on 25 November 2020 and our special Inside St Bride talk in January 2021.

Miriam Ahmed is delivering the Beatrice Warde Memorial Lecture tomorrow and there is still time to get a ticket. We also have the first of our 2021 talks on sale and will be announcing more of the anniversary talks programme soon. Tickets are available here:
