Our Project
After nearly two years working towards the upgrading of our audio-visual system, nearly £50,000 has been raised from grant applications, church events and careful use of church funds. We now need another £25,000 to complete the project!
For nearly 150 years, St Andrew's has been used as a place of worship by generations of Hertford people. The building offers a beautiful setting for quiet time and contemplation but also for uplifting worship and, increasingly, for cultural and arts events. We want to expand our programme of activities and this will be enabled by the installation of modern, state of the art technical facilities.
A new sound system will enable musicians to perform through a facility similar to those found in many theatres while anyone giving a talk or presentation will be able to use a system of screens offering high quality visuals to anywhere in the church building.
The first phase of the work will be undertaken during the autumn of 2024. We then hope to complete the project in 2025, thus helping to sustain St Andrew's as a much-loved centre of activity for years to come.
How You can Help
We are asking for your support so that we can raise the necessary £25000. There are a range of fundraising activities during our Giving Month, a period of five weeks over September and October 2024. This Crowdfunder initiative is just one part of the fund raising effort and, through people's involvement, we hope it will raise raise £5000 towards the total required.
We would love you to do one of the following:
Make a Donation: large or small, all donations can be Gift Aided
Spread the Word: tell your friends and pass on the web link to as many people as possible
Fundraise: organise a fundraiser (it doesn't have to be big or complicated!) and use the Contact Project button at the top of the page to tell us about it
Community Impact
St Andrew's has a special place within the Hertford community. The completion of our project will allow us to welcome more people to enjoy what we offer and to maintain the church as a special resource that is valued, used and loved by many.
Thank you in anticipation of your support!
