Our wonderful ADOSA Community has this year moved into the purpose created dance space @The MAD Hub Taunton.
With a Dance and fitness class each day for the active older adult, including a Seated class on Thursdays to support mobility, strength, balance and generally keep moving, we are loving the space, the cafe and social time it offers our amazing community of ladies. However, the chairs at the Hub, although very comfortable and practical for lounging and social, are not as suitable as we’d like for our seated movement ~ some ladies have restricted movement, hip replacements and discomfort in certain seated positions. We also need to be able to move freely without the restriction of arms on the chairs.
These ladies are Amazing, have raised their own families, many still caring for grandchildren to support their own, organising their lives around their loved ones and they still SHOW UP, to take care of their own physical health and enjoy social time with their friends.
I’m passionate about caring for these ladies to be as comfortable as possible as they dance, move and enjoy our time together so would like to buy these chairs which also stack away for when we need the space to Dance! They will also be able to be used by other visitors of all ages visiting The MAD Hub.
ADOSA AFTERNOON TEA
Thursday 15th May ~
12 - 2.30pm
@The MAD Hub (Next to Taunton Library)
We’re keeping it social, planning an afternoon tea on 15th May 12 - 2.30pm after our class as our ladies are keen to be part of the fundraising, making cakes scones and sandwiches with a minimum donation of £10 on the day ~ more details will follow. The photo below is from our latest 'Spring Boogie' and our afternoon Tea will be laid out similarly with fab music to accompany the occasion.
This will be a great opportunity for you to come and meet us, see what we’re about and what you’re supporting while enjoying some lovely food, company and great music :-)
