We're still collecting donations
On the 7th May 2020 we'd raised £166 with 6 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

The Catastrophe of Closed Performance Spaces.
The COVID-19 pandemic has suspended an already sputtering machinery of existence for performance poets, shutting down pubs, clubs, libraries, schools and festivals on which many rely for their living. This is causing an extraordinarily challenging time for self-employed poets to survive.
With a Little Help From Our Friends
They do not ask for it but with a tiny amount of assistance from each of us, even if it’s only one or two pounds, we can help some of our most creative writers and performance poets, to survive the enforced isolation. Our poets are the artists that speak out for us to rebuild our cultural future with beauty, love, humour and expressions of our emotions with scintillating observations.
Spoken Word Events and Crowdfunder
I am thankful for this opportunity afforded.by the Crowdfunder platform enabling event organisers like myself to fund the creation of a video anthology, a showcase of talented writers to present their creations in word and performance using the wonders of modern social media. The cancellation of my event - Spoke in the Lamp -and possibly others’ events, may not be so devastating to spoken word artists if we can fund them, transfer them from their shuttered venues to your phones and tablets with sparkling performances through SpokeScreen. You will be able to view the videos via links posted to SpokeScreen‘s Facebook and Twitter Pages. Do come!
You’ll be amazed.
Thank you, in advance, for your donations.
We ask project owners to honour their rewards wherever possible but please note that all pledges are donations and there is no guarantee that you will receive any rewards from the project owner. Please see Crowdfunder's Terms of Use for more information regarding rewards for pledges.
