Aim: To raise money for Spectrum Community Arts who run amazing drama and arts sessions for people with disabilities.
“This organisation has the most enthusiastic and caring people who have reached out to my son and taken him out of himself allowing him to gain confidence through dance and acting. It is one of a kind and cannot be rated highly enough.”Parent of a participant
Why are we crowdfunding?
Our son Zachy has attended Spectrum Community Arts for many years now. He loves going each week and is confident and comfortable in an environment that is tailored to providing him the support he needs.
We can see how much the sessions help build his confidence and skills. There are so few extra curricular opportunities for Zachy and we are so grateful as parents that Jade and the team are there. Always smiling, always encouraging, always full of energy. We know how much work goes into putting these sessions on and the constant need to raise funds and encourage volunteers.
Their mantra is that everyone deserves an opportunity to shine.
We couldn't agree more. Here is what they have to say...
We want to give our performers a platform to showcase their incredible talents and celebrate their achievements. This showcase isn't just a performance—it’s about breaking down barriers, championing inclusion, and proving what our performers CAN do! Many of our participants are excluded from school shows, asked to leave other performing arts opportunities or simply never invited in the first place. This is their chance to be on a stage, under the lights and in front of an applauding audience –shining as they should be.
The Spectrum community of participants, volunteers, friends and family are coming together to climb the equivalent of Ben Nevis (1,345m) at Climb Quest, Milton Keynes in just one hour! Our daughter Isla is going to be part of this group and is hoping to raise £100 towards supporting Spectrum and all they do. We would love your support in helping her do this.
