Last year we ran a "Plant with Pat" gardening beginners group to assist individuals to get into gardening in a welcoming, non judgemental environment. It proved really successful with over 40 people attending and gaining new skills. Going forward we want to do it all again but even bigger and better ,we'd love to put in a new polytunnel, raised beds and soft fruit zone.
We want to work with families and individuals to promote growing your own healthy and carbon light produce. To educate people about composting their food scarps to reduce land fill and green house emissions.
Any money raised would be to provide materials such as seeds, tools, timber and also to enable us to bring in horticulture specialists to empower community members to really learn new skills and be able to transfer them to their own garden, balcony or window sill.
