South West Norfolk 2024

This is a campaign aimed at those wishing to elect a Member of Parliament who will commit steadfastly to representing the interests of their constituents, ahead of Party or personal ambitions.

A Member of Parliament who cares about the constituency and its residents, and who has a record of service and getting things done.

There is a real appetite for change of representation in the South West Norfolk constituency. Liz Truss as our current MP represents all that has been wrong with this current administration. She has been an integral part of it for the last eleven years.

A message for those loyal Conservatives who feel bound to vote for her as the Party candidate:

Since her resignation as PM, by her actions and her words, she has shown no loyalty to the current leadership of your Party and she deserves no loyalty from you.

So why support me as an Independent?

I am born, bred, and rooted in the constituency. I can and I will focus on the things that matter to the constituency. Without constraint by any party dictat, I can hold government to account at all levels, whether Westminster, Norwich, King's Lynn or Thetford, together with local health authorities and school trusts. I have 35 years of experience as a lawyer representing clients' interests at the highest levels of administration. I will make a difference.

With no party support and starting from scratch, to overcome a majority of 26,000 while successfully fending off competition from other parties, requires a well organised and well provisioned campaign. We need to finance promotional events; a designer, website and social media campaign; Press and PR management; team expenses; venue rental; subscriptions; posters, banners and leaflets; and our public meetings.

We have therefore set a target of £20,000 for the long campaign prior to the Dissolution of Parliament; and a stretch target of a further £15,000 for the short campaign to the General Election.
