It was born out of sheer frustration during a global pandemic (and some questionable hairstyling decisions). You see, I—founder, CEO, and chief beard enthusiast—was stuck at home during lockdown, struggling to tame my unruly afro, which had taken on a life of its own. For Black people, hair is serious business. It’s an entire conversation—our hair comes in all shapes, sizes, and textures. But mine? It was out of control.
Determined to make the best of a bad situation, I concocted a blend of seven organic oils to give my hair the love and care it deserved. After some trial, error, and a few spills in the bathroom, I found the perfect formula. Problem solved, right? Wrong. My miracle potion kept vanishing like socks in a washing machine. The mystery didn’t last long—my older brother had decided my hair oil was his new beard oil. Cue my “lightbulb moment.” If my brother (who usually can't find his own shoes) was swiping my product for his beard, maybe I’d stumbled onto something.
