South Shropshire Green Party GE Deposit Fundraiser

Dear fellow South Shropshire Green Party members. 

It’s official! General Election 4th July 2024!! 

We urgently need your help to ensure we can all vote Green on July 4th. 

Now is the time to make Green voices heard! However, unlike the bigger parties, we don't have millionaire donors or vast sums of money from trade unions. So, in order for us to make those voices heard, we need to raise money through generous donations from ordinary people like you.

Putting forward our amazing candidate Hilary Wendt as a prospective South Shropshire parliamentary candidate is going to cost our local party £500 for the deposit and we simply don’t have the funds to pay it without your kind support.

If each and every one of you kindly donates just £5 we will cover the deposit with a small amount left over for us to cover expenses.

Every Green vote makes our voice louder and supports our increasing capacity to work in our communities for positive, credible policies that tackle the cost of living crisis , which is profoundly a crisis of inequality; the protection and improvement of our public services; and the urgent action that this country must  take to turn round the Climate and Nature Crisis that we face on this fragile, beautiful, and shared planet. Plus, every Green vote is worth £1 to the Green Party in "short money" (ie public funding) across the life of a Parliament and thus pays for our vital staff who enable us to do more and more !

So now, more than ever before, we are asking for generous donations to ensure your X can be for Greens at the ballot box.
