On Sunday 5th July I was on my daily walk with my Dog Louie when the unthinkable happened and he fell into a 25 ft deep mine shaft/sink hole. The emergency services were called and attend the scene but unfortunately were unable to go into the whole, after exploring our options the South and mid Wales rescue team were called to attend.
They swiftly set up the equipment needed and soon after lowered a team member down the 8 Meter deep hole that was very unstable.
After a very long and stressful 5 Hours of Louie being stuck down there he was finally lifted out and miraculously totally unharmed.
Please join me in raising some well deserved money to support the South and Mid Wales Cave rescue team to help them purchase some new Equipment that they urgently need. Anything you can contribute towards helping me achieve my target will be massively appreciated.
The team at SMWCR played a key role a few years ago rescuing the teenage boys trapped in a cave in Thailand.
