With the extra money I will buy extra flasks and cutlery.
This December, I decided to cook a huge batch of the family famous chilli soup my mum cooks for us. (I could never get it as close but this was a solid attempt mum). Whilst on my regular Wednesday run, I delivered the soup to Sheffield’s rough sleepers. I got feedback on the soup from Scott, Keeley, Darren and Anne. I had met Anne during the day outside the co-op. When I saw her in the evening she had told me she was hoping I would turn up after not being able to eat all day. We need to do better than this Sheffield, I want to do this once a week, whether I do that alone or with volunteers; either way I need your support. My call to action is that these ‘Soup Sprints’ become a food movement, also it’s teaching me to make really good soup! Times are tough but it take’s only £6 in total to raise money for more soup to be made for next time with warm bread. Maybe we can even make more money for for cups, flasks, cutlery, it all helps!
All of the soups will be vegan and gluten free to cater for any dietary requirements.
