Ramsgate is an area of natural conservation and a popular tourist destination on the Kent coast.
We are a community group of sea swimmers, business owners and local residents concerned by the ongoing pollution of our seas and beaches by Southern Water.
In 2021 our beaches had to be closed for 17 days in June and October due to pollution incidents. Southern Water has now agreed to a public meeting with residents of Ramsgate and Thanet on Thursday March 31st in the evening at St. Lawrence College. We are raising funds to highlight the dangers of sewage pollution and to apply pressure on Southern Water and other organisations to clean up their act.
£300 will enable us to produce and print flyers and posters to raise awareness of our campaign and to encourage everyone to attend the public meeting on March 31st.
