Solstice Ride for Freedom of Ukraine

I’m starting this fundraiser today on D-Day, June 6th 2024, 80 years since the liberation of Western Europe began and eventually free it from tyranny.

Today there is once again a tyrant threatening the security and peace of Europe and it is our aim to help the Ukrainians in whatever way we can to defend themselves in what is the largest war in Europe since the Second World War with hundreds of thousands already killed and wounded, millions displaced and billions of dollars worth of infrastructure destroyed including entire cities, towns and villages.

For this fundraiser effort I will be doing a cycle ride on summer solstice (longest day of the year), setting off early and getting back late with the aim to ride a minimum of 150 miles. This will be raising funds for a 4x4 which will be used for essential logistical purposes and will again be loading it with medical and humanitarian aid. 

Any donations appreciated as always, let’s continue our support for a country that has defied the odds in continuing to resist Russian aggression for over 2 years at a terrible cost, the help from volunteers and fundraisers are much needed and appreciated.
