Solo sail from preston to spain

Aim: I will be raising funds for PKD and Andysmanclub, on a solo sail from preston UK to Portugal on the 21st of july 2025 on a 31ft sailing boat

I'm a 35 year old lad from Preston/Chorley hoping to raise funds for two charities that are close to me, by sailing from Preston UK to Portugal on a 31ft sailing boat. 

I am doing this trip in honour of my brother Scott catterall who was sadly taken at the age of 29 through polycystic kidney disease. Although not a seaman himself always supported me in doing so. 

I have had some ocean experience sailing around the UK, isle of man and southern Ireland but this will be the longest passage yet but to add a little more depth its all going to be by myself at sea. The trip will take between 2-3 weeks, with a few stops along the way!

Who i have been in contact with and are also excited to get this trip on the go all profits will go to these great charities!

I have a Facebook page for updates and videos of the trip and youll get to see the major ups and downs, hopefully not too much bad weather and lots of sun.

In  no way am i a Vlogger or Instagram man so expect dodgy photos odd wobbly videos, mostly of me probably making mistakes, blanking at fishing..  and learning the hard way as always!
