Aim: Raising funds to help Birkenhead Rotary support organisations desperately in need, as normal fundraising ended through COVID

72 year old Rotarian Norman Jones has stepped in to help Birkenhead Rotary  raise funds and enable the Club to continue supporting a variety of organisations for both adults and children in need - a need that is increasing daily due to COVID.

With normal Club fundraising activities suspended, Norman offered to complete a sponsored solo lockdown 5k run, starting off at Birkenhead Rotary Way, by Birkenhead Tunnel entrance, and ending up doing 10 laps of Hamilton Square, 12 noon on Friday 23rd October 2020.

Norman hopes that this event will raise £3,000 to help the Club give some support to organisations such as Shaftesbury Youth Club, Women and Children's Aid, Children with Special Needs, Claire House Children's Hospice, Talking Newspapers, a Community Shop and organisations assisting the homeless.
