Solent Rescue is an Independent Lifeboat charity run entirely by volunteers. Established at Lepe Country park in 1971 to support the large number of boats and ships using the Solent Waterways. Solent Rescue provide first aid cover to Lepe country park and operate 2 inshore lifeboats. An Arctic 24 and smaller D class which cover a patrol area from Mudeford to Portsmouth and include Southampton water up to Eling bridge. As an Independent Lifeboat charity, we are reliant on grants and fundraising to cover the operating and maintenance costs necessary to keep the unit operational. In addition to providing our volunteer crew with the necessary training and kit needed to perform their duties in assisting and saving lives at sea.
Ultimately your donations will assist in keeping our crew and boats operational, will benefit the variety of waterborne users in the Solent. From large shipping, fishing boats to the many people participating in leisure activities.
