Who are we?
A village cricket club aiming to provide our local community with the opportunity to enjoy participating and watching local cricket in a welcoming and safe environment. To support this initiative two of our Club members (Dean Dunn and Add Sayer) with a combined age of 128 years will be hiking up to the top of Mount Snowden in Wales on the 24th June 2025.

Why are we crowdfunding?
To maintain and improve our training, coaching, and playing facilities and equipment, as well as the development of our coaches through coaching courses to attain the high standards needed to run an amateur cricket club. By having suitable facilities and a structure that will attract, retain and develop talented individuals of all sexes and ages.
If you're applying for extra funding, this is a good place to demonstrate why your project is eligible so refer back to the criteria to help complete this section

How we’ll spend the money raised
We need help to maintain and renew equipment such as :
Training aids for children and the club as a whole (net return walls, throw down practise nets, marker discs, training cones, water bottle carriers and hygiene water bottles, cricket helmets, boundary ropes and protection of the square (playing surface).
Grass cutting and line marking machines, playing kit (cloths), cricket bats, cricket balls, stumps & bails, batting gloves, wicket keeping gloves, batting and wicket keeping pads
We also need help to fund training courses for senior players to enable them to take new and maintain existing qualifications. This in turn allows them to better develop our youth teams.
We anticipate by improving and maintaining our facilities we attract more players, especially youngsters, and spectators to the sport.

Community impact
It’s important to explain the wider impact of your organisation for the whole community, who does it benefit and why? Perhaps your facilities are used for other purposes outside of sport too?

How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
