WHEN IT ALL STARTED
Over the last two years we have been based at the indoor market in Market Harborough as Vinyl Culture. During that time we have built an amazing customer base 
Along with some small events in the market hall we have held two comic cons both where very well attended, as Snot Monkey. The Snot Monkey brand has proved to be exceptionally popular and he has taken over the whole business. However, this has caused us a big problem, (but a good one to have). The space we have is just not big enough for us anymore.
Our plan has always been to extend to a game cafe/retail and meeting space in Market Harborough. We have always had this in our plans ,but not for another five years at least, but our hand has now been forced as we have been informed that we are unable to grow in our current location. This is due to a change in policy by the local authority
SNOT MONKEY
The name Snot Monkey was created by one of our lovely grandson's George. It all happened on a hot summers day in 2022 Claire was having a bad day with hay fever and just couldn’t stop sneezing. After both Laura and Mollie had said to her “ for goodness sake just stop sneezing there are snotty tissues everywhere". Out of nowhere came George, age 3 "grandma you are a Snot Monkey” then Zac joined in and they both ran round the garden shouting “grandma is a snot monkey “ over and over again, and so it was born .
Snot Monkey has a clear mission to make geekhood affordable, inclusive and accessible to all. We are all avid collectors or fans of all things Geeky and would like to make our hobbies more accessible and economical. All of our events are made affordable as possible. Snot Monkey are always about community and making memories, any interaction at any Snot Monkey crew will always be a good one
Our team is made up of a group of people, the one who you all will know is Pete. He can usually be found in the market or at the front of one of our events leading the way and making sure that everyone is having fun, usually in one of his “noticeable "shirts. No matter what is put in front of him be it health, red tape or unfair decisions he always pushes through it and finds a solution to it.
The rest of the crew are always working away behind the scenes continuously. Be it Claire chasing Pete’s paper work or organising traders, Darren, sorting out guests or covering the shop and of course Julie who coordinates the volunteers. Our own tame deadpool in the form of Ben and of course Misty and Heidi chasing Pete around the shop. Not forgetting Laura and Mollie who are always helping at events, in the shop or out in the wild. However, the real stars of the show are the security, executive mangers and chief cake tasters Zac (7) and George (6)
The last member of the crew is you lot . Without you guys we would not exist, it is your passion, involvement and of course your enjoyment of all things Snot Monkey. That keeps us moving forward
ITS ALL ABOUT THE SPACE
The space in the market has limited us to what we can do and the hours we can open. Along with things we can offer, consequently this has happened along way ahead of plan and this is our issue. Hence why we have launched this campaign to ask for your help to make this happen.
The space will be used by local groups such as home education clubs, game groups, mums and tots, youth clubs ect . We also plan to have meet and greets with some of our special guests , these will be available to members only and be very exclusive. Not forgetting regular Pokémon , Lorcana and Magic the Gathering tournaments and of course quiz nights as well.

I know it is a lot that we are asking for , especially in today’s climate. We have made this our target to give the venue a full 12 months to get established and allow us time to secure the business and build a great asset for the community and a legacy in the town
