The Green Party WON the most recent County by-election in Meon Valley last May. Malcolm Wallace was elected as the only Green on Hampshire County Council and he is working hard to make a difference. Now another County Council by-election has been announced for the neighbouring Bishops Waltham division and we want to mount a challenge here too!
Bishops Waltham division covers a wide area including Colden Common & Twyford to the West, Cheriton, Bramdean, Tichborne and part of Alresford to the North and Owslebury, Upham, Durley and Bishops Waltham to the South. (Peach shaded area on the map)
Alex Ellis has been selected to stand as our wonderful Green Party candidate.
Alex lives in Colden Common in the heart of the community. He is one of our most active campaigners and he helped us get greens elected in Winchester, Bristol and Brighton. Alex works in the healthcare sector and is studying for a degree in politics at the Open University.
Alex and his team want to visit and speak to as many voters as possible to get the Green message out, letting people know just what an important difference having a Green on the County council makes and to leave a calling card at each address offering help and information.
Your donation will help fund 3,500 calling cards and other essential election expenses including 7,000 election leaflets to deliver to households right across the district, posters and ‘Vote Green’ boards.
Please support Alex and team to make a big impression by making a donation. Every amount large or small will help make a real difference to the success of this campaign.
THANK YOU!
PS; We simply could not do this without you.
The local party receives no funding from members’ subscriptions to the National Green Party and we rely entirely on donations & the generosity of our local members & supporters.
