It aims to empower young Black boys with tools to manage their mental health and also challenge the negative stereotypes of black boys
by Kay Rufai in London, England, United Kingdom
I think this is a brilliant cause. One that is much needed to change the stigma around young black men. I fully support this cause and look forward to tell all my friends about it to help raise more awareness to the difficulties that a lot of black youth have to experience today. May this inspire the next generation of leaders and role models both in East London and around the UK. A little heads up, the Instagram link on this site doesn't seem to be working..
I read about the project in Positive News. After years of teaching in schools in London, I love seeing something that represents these boys in the way that I see the overwhelming majority of them; young, sweet, mischievous and funny. There are so few positive representations in the media, this is wonderful. I'll be looking for other ways to get involved!
