We're still collecting donations

On the 2nd January 2025 we'd raised £5,633 with 88 supporters in 48 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
*UPDATE* We’re pleased to share that, thanks to your donations and artwork sales, we’ve raised an incredible £13,800 so far! That is over 50% of our crowdfunding target, which is really fantastic however we still have some way to go to reach our goal. Because of this we have decidede to extend our Crowdfunder campaign until the 2nd January just so that we (and you!) can spread the word a bit more.🙏🏼❣️
Project Aim:
Help our two vital art spaces in South London continue to support artists and community programmes into 2025 and beyond! Van Gogh House and San Mei Gallery urgently need funding to secure our future and continue contributing to London’s inspiring artistic community.
Who We Are:
Van Gogh House London & Gallery C.I.C. is a non-profit organisation operating Van Gogh House and its sister space, San Mei Gallery, in the vibrant Brixton community. Over the last decade, these spaces have supported artists through exhibitions, residencies, workshops, and educational outreach with schools and community groups. Together, we’ve built a diverse cultural hub that provides a platform for emerging artists and an accessible arts program for the public.
We began as a family-run space aiming to encourage cross-disciplinary experimentation with a particular focus on emerging artists. Since then, the team has grown to expand beyond our family, whilst maintaining the initial ethos.
Why We Need Your Support:
Last month, we were saddened to receive the news that our core funder, in response to their own unexpected challenges, was forced to withdraw their funding. Whilst we are so grateful for this funder’s support to date, their backing accounted for 50% of our income and was crucial to continuing our work into 2025 and beyond.
We remain fully committed to our mission so we are launching a fundraising campaign to secure our future. We hope that with the incredible support of our audiences we can continue contributing to London’s inspiring artistic community.
Our Target:
We aim to raise £25,000 from this Crowdfunder and through our winter fundraiser exhibition artwork sales. This together with further work we are doing in finding match funders and private donors will need to raise a minimum of £125,000. Any amount big or small will help us work toward a sustainable future. To keep track of our overall progress, please visit our fundraiser landing page here.
How You Can Help:
Your support is vital to ensure Van Gogh House and San Mei Gallery continue to thrive as art spaces. Thank you for helping us secure our future.
