Small business in memory of our daughter

Aim: To help build my business that i have started in memory of our 19 month old daughter.

I am a mum of 3 and in June of 2022 my youngest daughter Caylee passed away at just 19 months old from an extremely rare condition called Congenital Myasthenia Syndrome. I have wanted to start my own business for a few years and when my daughter got her diagnosis at 4 months old I new I wouldn’t be able to go back to work as she would need round the clock care from me. I knew then it was something I wanted to do as I could be at home with my daughter and still have an income. Unfortunately it wasn't something i had the finances for so after she passed away I wanted to do everything i could to build the business and to do it in her memory. Unfortunately financially we have taken a big hit recently and we live paycheck to paycheck so there is not much money left at the end of the month to put into the business. I want to build this business mainly for the memory of my daughter but also to give my other children the life they deserve after losing their sister. 

The company personalises clothing and accessories focused mainly on children. We also do lots of Drinkware. Every November 10% of all sales goes to the friends of PICU charity who help families of children in the PICU. The PICU were absolutely amazing to us and Caylee were she had spent a month of her life so we want to give back. And every June 10% of sales will go to Myaware which is a charity for people with the same condition my daughter had.  I will use the money for stock and any other costs I may have along the way to building my business.
