Smart Home Knee Rehab – Unlock InnovateUK grant

Aim: Help launch Slider V2, an AI-powered home knee-rehab system. £1 pledged unlocks £3.50 InnovateUK grant to get patients moving again.

1. The need

Every year ≈ 160 000 hip & knee replacements are performed across the UK; thousands go home with nothing more than a photocopied exercise sheet and long waits for physio review.

2. Our answer — Slider V2

Slider V2 is a saucer-sized sensor that glides under the heel, tracks every rep and feeds live data to your physio. We’re partnering with the Newton Gateway to Mathematics — University of Cambridge to build advanced algorithms that tailor each movement in real time, while the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) will measure Slider’s accuracy.

These upgrades make Slider more accessible for older and mobility-impaired users, widening reach across NHS clinics, potentially cutting waiting-list times and saving health-service costs, while also opening larger international sales channels
