🎭 Help Two Disabled Creatives Bring Three Powerful Shows to the Edinburgh Fringe 2025!
Who Are We – and What’s Our Big Dream?
Hi, we’re Lexi Wolfe and Andrew Slade — two disabled, neurodiverse creatives with a passion for powerful theatre and a deep love for the Edinburgh Fringe.
Lexi is a multi-award-winning actress and writer. Andrew is a producer, technician, and performer making his return to acting this year after seven years away. Between us, we live with a whole host of health conditions including Fibromyalgia, Long Covid, Autism and ADHD—but we’re not letting that stop us. We’re coming back to the Fringe this August with not one, not two, but three shows!
We’ve already secured our slot with the brilliant team at theSpaceUK, and we’ve found accommodation close to the venues (a must, due to our access needs). Now we just need your help to get over the final hurdle.
🎟 The Shows We're Bringing
🗡️ AFTER SHAKESPEARE (Returning Hit)What happens to Shakespeare’s most iconic characters after the curtain falls? Lexi transforms into Lady Macbeth, Portia, Hamlet and King Hal, blending Shakespeare’s words, historical insight and modern storytelling.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “A must-see show” – EdinburghGuide.com⭐⭐⭐⭐ “One of this year’s standout shows” – GetYourCoatsOn.com⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Refreshing and gifted writing” – WestEndBestFriend.co.uk
🕵️♀️ BAKER STREET LADIES (New for 2025)Sherlock Holmes is out. Three women from his past are in. What happens when they cross paths in 221b Baker Street, looking for the man who changed their lives? A brand-new show written and performed by Lexi, bringing unheard voices to life.
👑 1 KING, 2 PRINCES & SHAKESPEARE’S LIE (New for 2025)Was Richard III truly the villain we’ve been told he was—or just a convenient scapegoat? In this electrifying one-man show, Andrew takes the stage as Richard himself, confronting the myth, the politics, and the Bard. This marks Andrew’s return to acting for the first time in seven years!
Why We Need Your Help
Putting on three shows is a challenge at the best of times—but doing so while managing chronic conditions, fatigue, and mobility limitations makes it even more of a mountain to climb.
That’s why we’re asking for £4,000 to help cover the essential costs that make performing at the Fringe possible for us:
🎭 Fringe Registration – £885
🛏️ Accommodation (central and accessible) – £5,100
🏛️ Venue Hire (3 shows, 3 weeks) – £8,600
🅿️ Parking (to minimise walking) – £220
We’ve already put in a lot ourselves and raised most of the funds — but we can’t do it alone.
What You’ll Get in Return
We know times are tough, so any amount truly helps. But if you’re able to give a little more, we’d love to thank you:
🎟️ Donate £15 – 1 free ticket to the show of your choice
🎟️ Donate £25 – 2 free tickets (your choice)
🎟️ Donate £35 – 3 free tickets, one for each show!
(All subject to availability, of course.)🎟️ AND MORE!!!!!
And for larger donors, we’ll be offering shout-outs in our show programmes and special behind-the-scenes updates.
Why It Matters
We believe in making theatre accessible, inclusive and bold. We believe disability should never mean invisibility. And we believe in creating stories that spark curiosity, laughter, and conversation.
- If you’ve ever felt like you don’t belong in the arts — this campaign is for you.
- If you love great storytelling, Shakespeare, mystery or misunderstood monarchs — this campaign is for you.
- If you believe in fighting for your dream, even when it’s hard — this campaign is for you.
We’re performing from 1s t– 23rd August 2025. With your help, we’ll make it to the stage. And we’ll do it our way.
Thank you.
Lexi & Andrew
