In August 2024, my mum spent the last two weeks of her life being cared for by the amazing team at Farleigh’s Hospice Chelmsford. This facility not only cared for my mum they also supported my siblings and the rest of our family during one of the hardest times of our life. The staff are amazing from the volunteers who offer a friendly chat and a cuppa, to the clinicians who work so hard in such a tough environment and they do it all with the upmost respect and professionalism.
This facility covers a large area of the region and it takes over £21,000 a day to run. I know that our mum being there was comforting for us, knowing she was getting the care she deserved and allowed us a family to purely spend time and talk and comfort her, it was very precious.
I really want to raise funds to them as a thank you from our family for everything they did and do for the patients and family’s who get to use their services.
I will be taking part in a 13,000 feet sky dive on June 21st and would love some support by donating to this cause, which they rely on. So JUMP on board support me and Farleigh’s Hospice so they can continue supporting the Essex region.
