Where your money is going?
This is what we call a 'Zero Budget' short film, meaning all of the money is going to the absolute bare essentials, some people are working for expenses only and the core creative team are working as volunteers (including, Writer, Director, Producers and Editor).
Here's a breakdown of our budget:

Core creative team:
Sasha Case(Writer/Director): 18 year-old British/French filmmaker from Maury, South of France. Got accepted into the prestigious Met Film School at the age of 17 but denied entry due to her age, was looking to make a film during her gap year. She shows excellent promise as a filmmaker and holds a portfolio of multiple student short films.

Andy McCredie(Executive Producer / Producer): UK based Theatre and film producer, currently working full time for radical and experimental queer performance company TDTWT as part of London Performance Studios.
He has experience as a filmmaker, directing and producing two award-winning shorts, one of then multiple award-winning and securing him and his team placement at international film festivals across Europe.
He also has experience in the corporate Film/TV/Media industry through his previous role as Business Development Manager, and has a rudimentary knowledge of the global systems behind film production and distribution, as well as a varied network across the sector.

Maya Yoncali(Producer/Editor):
Maya, of Polish-Armenian Heritage, is a freelance Photographer, Videographer Dancer, Movement Director and Filmmaker, whose focus throughout all her practices is on the sensitive nature, power and allure of movement.
Maya's documentary filmmaking credits include Sadler’s Wells, Siobhan Davies Studios, Jean Abreu Dance, Soumik Datta and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

What could go wrong?
Due to the nature of the project, and our connections to funding bodies, we are relying on the support of friends, family, colleagues and strangers who believe in our vision - so we must be honest, there may be some things that go wrong!
- We may not raise enough funds, which would affect the quality of the film by not being able to secure high quality costumes or experienced staff to take on key roles such as camera and sound.
- The script may not be well developed enough by the time we need to shoot, leading to underperformance at festivals and a film that doesn't fulfil its full potential
- We may not be able to secure a strong lead cast, leading again to a weaker film
- We could complete the film and then not have enough funds to submit to film festivals, meaning the purpose of the film to engage with Sasha's career is foiled.
How we will overcome these risks?
- With your help, we will raise enough funds to complete the shoot and post production of the film, if the crowdfund is underperforming, we will do everything we can to spread the word and raise the profile of the campaign to reach our goal.
- We are currently developing the script through Raindance (the UK's leading film festival and film organisation) and will continue to develop the script before we shoot in September.
- We are looking to boost the profile of this campaign in order to engage a Casting Director to assist with casting some fantastic lead actresses, and we can also utilise the connections of our lead producer Andy McCredie and Co-producers who have an expensive network within the acting industry.
- Once the film is complete, we will secure backing from investors and host a series of fundraising events with the purpose of raising funds for film festival submissions in 2025 and onwards.
Thank you for reading! Check out the rewards for donating on the side, and we want to let you know that we are grateful for every donation, no matter how big or small.
