Start an education blog & include payments online

Aim: Gaining a site license for for the Queer in Lancaster website will enable features that will help us integrate donation and payment tools.

Queer in Lancaster CIC is a non-profit that aims to be "your queer guide to Lancaster" - raising the visibility of the local queer community and making it easier for queer folks to find people and things relevant to them.

We aim to start a range of educational blog posts that will help people learn about themselves, the queer community, and what it means to be queer. Some of these posts will be about: 

• helping people discover their sexuality and gender and what it means to them, 
• support on coming out, 
• queer language, 
• the challenges we face as queer people, 
• and more.

We want to invite guest authors to contribute, and be given full credit for their work.

Our website is powered by Craft CMS, a powerful content management system. To unlock more of its features, we need to buy a professional license. A license would allow us to:

• Integrate payment and donation tools with the website using first-party plugins
• Invite people to author and edit blog posts directly on the website
• Have guest writers fully credited using in-built systems, rather than hacky workarounds
• Have customisable permissions for website users
• Have a neatly packaged system with our own branding

Right now, we have links out to various places, and have no way of inviting people to write for the website. A site license would allow us to have writers and editors with the proper permissions in place to facilitate that.

By integrating with our payment providers, we could raise funds through the website more effectively.
