This is a community group aiming to fix the problems surrounding the Simonswood Industrial estate which consists of the edge of West Lancs/Lancashire & the Knowsley Borough/North Kirkby area.
we want to put an end to the illegal sized mounds, dumping of toxic chemicals and the foul odours which has had detrimental effects on the people in the vicinity of the estate.
We want to ensure our kids can grow up with less pollution than the limits currently seen today, as the column of wagons currently entering/exiting the site is currently at problematic levels.
We want to highlight the severity of the problems that Lancashire county council is placing upon the area, as more traffic is planned with more sites seeking to be built on the estate and area adjacent/close by.
We plan on putting the health of the people ahead of the aims of local businesses who seem to have zero problems persisting with poor practices and the environmental Agency who appear to lack adequate regulation of the sites in question.
