This charity means a lot to me, when I felt I couldn't reach out to anyone I reached out to them, through their online chat events. Even though this charity is based in Brighton it reaches those in need so much further than that with confidential knowledgeable people having real conversations to support those struggling with their sexuality or gender.
Transgender health care in the UK is in an appalling state, with waiting times usually over three years to get seen by a gender clinic. There are people who have their mental health significantly affected during this waiting period and are in serious danger of taking their own life in some cases. Living in a society that invalidates the LGBTQ+ community, I want to do all I can to support those who do not have support from their family and friends, who are struggling desperately with their mental health as a result of societys erasure of the community and living in fear of themselves or attacks by others.
