A short film exploring the impact of war.

by Ruby Lee in Bournemouth, England, 英国

In this film, we explore the impact of war on humanity and the healing power of love. The story unfolds through an old letter, leading the protagonist back to their hometown to uncover their family history. Through the letter, the protagonist begins to understand how war casts a shadow over people's hearts and how it has affected their family's fate. We aim to showcase the brutality and impact of war, and to examine how love plays a role during this time and helps people overcome hardships.

Also, we are incredibly fortunate to have the support of a generous individual, Alan, the owner of our key filming location in Swanage. He has graciously allowed us to film in his historic house, which was first owned by Charles I and ranks in the top 9% of the most important listed buildings in England. Filming at such a prestigious location is an opportunity we never could have imagined as students, and we are deeply grateful to Alan for making this possible.

However, we still face many other expenses, including transporting heavy equipment from our university in Bournemouth to Swanage, which incurs the cost of renting a van for 10 days, covering travel costs for crew members (some of whom are coming from London), and providing food and accommodation for the shoot in Swanage, as most of our crew is based out of Bournemouth.

Your funding will be crucial in making this dream project a reality. As film students, we are relying on external support for every aspect of this production, as self-funding these expenses are currently beyond our means.
