Shoreline Church

Shoreline Foodbank is an operation of Shoreline Church, Southport.

Shoreline Church is one of 60 churches in Southport and was established at its current town centre location in 2006. In 2011, Shoreline Church initiated its current Food Bank programme, operating out of its main hall.

The programme was the first of its kind in Southport and was started because of the urgent need to relieve the food poverty identified while working with local homeless people across Southport. The food itself is donated by bakeries, farmers, supermarkets and individuals in the surrounding areas. This food is collected on a daily basis by a team of volunteers and is then stored, packaged and distributed to families 5 nights a week, 50 weeks a year.
