In this age of pandemics we need to support community ventures to encourage people to co-regulate in a safe and viable way, outdoors.

A group of Wild Haslingfielder's have been putting together a rather inspired proposal to collaboratively build a communal 'Shelter From Future Storms' in the round, built with traditional and locally sourced materials by local craftsmen, inspired by Covid!

Crowdfunder is making it 100% free for community and charity crowdfunding projects during the coronavirus crisis. The Covid-19 epidemic could affect millions of people in the next few weeks.

These are unprecedented times but together, we are stronger, and the response is coming from communities across the country.

Volunteer groups are springing up to tackle the logistical problems faced in our communities – but they need urgent support. That's where we come in.

If you would like to add your voice to this collaborative and inclusive community based project please fill out the below questionnaire -

Many thanks to your time, please feel free to share and do let me know if this is something you would like to support on the upcoming Haslingfield Parish Council meeting Monday 9th Nov.

The intention is that this space creates an interface between indoor communal spaces and the outdoors for groups to get together to encourage greater social cohesion amongst all age groups and increase opportunities to enhance mental health and wellbeing. A plan for the next 2 - 10 years..

We have released that 60 people have already filled out the survey monkey so far but we need to release the details for £25 (as free only goes up to 40 responses) - because this project is beginning to accrue costs we would like those who are in support of the proposal to donate what they can afford to get it up and running.  We are, of course, offering our time for free, but there will be admin type costs before we receive grant funding.

The first stage will be to reach £25 and after the meeting we will update on next steps..
