I have set up a Pet Food Bank to help the local community in my hometown (Sheffield area).
The Aim
The aim is to provide support for the pets of people in Sheffield and surrounding areas (perhaps even eventually covering South Yorkshire) during financial hardship. Not only will this help families but it would also hopefully help rescue centres that already struggle and are snowed under with admissions - this could bridge the gap and help people who may otherwise feel they couldn't cope to keep their pets at home.
Who is this for?
This service is for anyone facing financial hardship/poverty, fleeing domestic violence, the elderly, other vulnerable adults, the homeless etc.
How will this work?
I will be delivering donations to houses that need them across Sheffield and Rotherham, as well as pairing with local food banks to ensure that the donated items are going to those most in need.
