We're still collecting donations
On the 9th July 2024 we'd raised £545 with 10 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

The Forest Community Shed aims to reach isolated, lonely and vulnerable elderly residents, offering them a safe place to go and relax. Providing a safe, supportive social space and workshop, where individuals can socialise, share or learn new skills and interests and pass on knowledge, actively pursue hobbies, crafts and other creative activities.
Located in the smallholding of The Orchard Trust Day Services, in Lydbrook, the site provides a friendly environment, quiet places to sit and relax, meet the animals, or walk the paths.
The environments we live in shape our lives and our sense of wellbeing. Having somewhere safe to live, and good support networks around us make a vital contribution to our lives. The importance of our surroundings also extends to our natural environment.
The new project, working with green, freshly cut, unseasoned wood outdoors – the traditional way – is a slow, creative, and connected way to make things. Using your hands to create and nurture has so many positive health benefits, both physical and mental.
