We're still collecting donations
On the 27th September 2022 we'd raised £45 with 2 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Our aim is to purchase a bus and transform it into a Mobile Sensory Play hub, which will allow us to reach families living in deprived areas

What we have done
Myself and my team have always been very hands on in our local community. During the covid crisis we set up a community cafe, which provided a safe environment where local people could gain experience in customer service and build their confidence and self esteem. During this time we also ran cooking groups for people with additional needs, teen cafe run by teens and parent and toddler sessions. As life started to return to some sort of normality, we soon noticed that parents and children were feeling anxious about being in large groups. We decided to set up a sensory play hub which offered a peaceful, tranquil environment for individual families and small groups. The feedback we received was so beautiful. One young mum, after her first visit said, "It is like visiting a friend for a good natter, it is such a welcoming environment". Another parent who has twins with autism explained how that when she has taken her children to play gyms, the children have ended up having meltdowns, due to the noise levels. She is so grateful that we offer a venue where the children feel safe and can enjoy the sensory toys surrounded by tranquil music rather than screaming kids!
Our vision
We are constantly re evaluating what we offer and we can continue to provide for the needs of the community. We have discovered that many people who are struggling financially (the number of people is rising drastically, as the cost of living continues to rise) cannot afford to travel to our venues but are in desperate need of our service that helps support families who have mental health issues amongst other things. This is why we came up with the idea of offering a mobile sensory play hub, and the best, and most exciting way to deliver this service is through a "sensory play bus". We can then visit many locations throughout the uk, rather than just staying local.
How you can help
Because we are a community group, we do not have the funds to make this fantastic idea a reality, and so we are asking for your help to bring this idea to life so that we can reach many families who desperately need our support.
Thank you so much for reading this and we look forward to keep you updated with how this project goes
