Just over a month ago I was asked to bring my crafty creation business to Wild and Free. While there I met some amazing parents and some beautiful children to the point that I stayed a little longer than a should of, I'm now part of the furniture.
While at wild & Free I had my eyes open by the sen sessions, having children myself none of which have additional needs it was a real eye opener but not in a bad way. To see children being able to play safely and securely while their mother's and fathers sat and chilled even had a cup of tea a hot one at that.
I spoke to many of the parents and they were all saying how wild and free is the only place they can take their children to be children for two hours and they could actually enjoy a tiny break and interaction with other parents. So my aim is to give them the chance to do that by helping Kathie and her team to keep sen sessions going for as long as possible. And if even possible to open Hazelberry so they can have the chance to play daily not just twice a week.
So on Tuesday 29th October, myself and my 3 children alongside Annemarie Shepherd and her boys and whoever else would like to join us we will be walking, riding on bikes or trikes, in pushchairs or even wheelchairs all welcome to join us from West end of leek down the track to Rudyard, and for those who have it in them back again. Before we are welcomed at wild and free for refreshments.
Annemarie's boy Adam as drawn a fantastic elephant for the occasion for me to pop on hoodies for children who raise over £50 or more which they will get for free.
