Over at Secret Garden Hoyles Park we take great pride in putting our heart and soul into every element of the community forest school and sensory garden site.
Providing a secure, safe, accessible and inclusive outdoor space that allows all ages & abilities to freely explore & enjoy.
Wheelchair accessible pathing doesn't only allow young people in wheelchairs to acces our site but also allows for parents or grandparents who are wheelchair users to have a space they can come together, as a family.
We aim to make as many areas of our forest school and sensory garden accessible by gravel gridding around our veg trugs, providing turning circles and building accessible equipment.
Over 1000 gravel grids complete the pathing, these grids filled with 14 tonnes of gravel completes our wheelchair accessible pathing.
We have managed to fund some of the gravel grid pathing from our sessions & the membrane, unfortunately we have £1439.97 outstanding to pay for the gravel grids alone.
It would be wonderful if the community could support us in this project. Any amount is gratefully appreciated & helps our organisation out immensely.
