The Woolverstone Project is running at full capacity with a waiting list, so we are fundraising for a new Wheelyboat to boost capacity.

Project by Woolverstone Sailability Project

We operate a large fleet of sailing boats specially designed for disabled people to sail either on their own or accompanied by an instructor. As a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Recognised Training Centre and an RYA Sailability Centre we provide full training and support for anyone from the absolute beginner through to those competing in national competitions and offer training for a full range of RYA qualifications for the disabled as well as volunteers. Our holistic approach benefits all.

With specially adapted boats, trained and qualified instructors and volunteers and a hoist, no severity of disability is a barrier to participation. However, the Project is now running at overcapacity for its accessible water-based activities. The group has recently acquired an additional sailing dinghy and now needs to acquire a second Wheelyboat to reach out to even more people and groups especially those in wheelchairs.
