Aim: Supporting young Cubs and Scouts to grow into responsible and confident young persons on an expedition to Kandersteg, Switzerland.
The Cubs and Scouts from 1st Belton and Epworth Scouts aged 9yrs and above have started to fundraise for an expedition to Kandersteg International Scout Centre in July 2027.
On their expedition they will be camping at a height equal to Ben Nevis and undergoing challenges in wild camping, walking at higher attitudes, toboggans, wild water rafting, cable car rides, cheese making and cooking their own tea!
As you may appreciate this is a large challenge for children so young, while fundraising they are also required to build upon their skills and confidence in camping, nights away from home, cooking skills, campfires, walking etc. Their development is being supported and facilitated by a team of dedicated trained and experienced adult volunteers.
The cost of each child attending is £1,300 and there are currently 20 children plus 2 adult volunteers supporting from our local group. The Cubs soon to be Scouts are busy fundraising up to 50% of their trip. They are undertaking activities such as walks, bag packing and bake sales etc.
The funds raised by this site are being raised to support all the cubs and scouts who are attending towards their fundraising goals.
