In the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown, I realised something profound. With both my parents speaking a total of 8 African languages, and three brothers who never learned any of them, we were missing out on a world of connections.
Throughout the pandemic, we felt the void at family gatherings and missed out on the rich conversations happening around us. It was as if there were hidden treasures of culture and heritage that we couldn't access.
That's when the idea was born - School of African Languages, a company that could bridge the gap between our diverse family and so many others like us. We decided to create a platform that not only taught languages but also celebrated the beauty of cultures and the connections they foster.
Our brand story is one of missed conversations turned into opportunities. We believe that language is more than just words; it's a gateway to understanding, empathy, and shared experiences.
We have spent 3 years developing our curriculum to engage and maintain high levels of success and progress.
With the support of our amazing native speaking teachers, who have worked with us from the start, we are now building an app to "Discover the ultimate African Languages App - your pocket guide to travel, business, family, and more! Access essential phrases anytime, anywhere on your phone. " 📱✈️🤝
Join us on this journey to connect with the world, one language at a time. 🌍🗣️ #LanguageConnections #BridgingCultures
