Sax Community Fest (Sax Fest) has morphed in to a truly community festival and considered by many as a landmark event in the Towns calendar, enjoyed by a diverse range of ages and backgrounds. Nothing else in the area gives the opportunity for the community to come together on this scale, and it has a proven track record of being a fun, safe and well-managed event.
The community, Sax Info Zone was a great addition and very successful pilot in 2022. People were engaging with local organisations and able to gather information about their services, get advice and feedback, especially regarding education, finance and health and well-being. The aim of the festival is to maintain an inclusive spirit, primarily bring people together to gain all the necessary support they may need. As the Infozone contained a range of services, we intend to expand the area to allow extra information areas.
All of our staff (except bar), including directors are volunteers.
