🦜 Who We Are

Wings Reunited UK is a grassroots project in the making — created by parrot owners and bird lovers who have experienced, or deeply understand, the heartbreak of losing a bird.

There’s currently no national organisation in the UK that helps owners recover their lost parrots or supports the care of found birds. We want to change that — but to do it, we need your help to take flight.

💔 Why This Matters

Parrots are loving, intelligent companions. But they're also curious and quick — and one open door or window can be all it takes.

Every week, parrots go missing across the UK. Many are never found. Some don’t survive. Owners are left devastated and alone, with no one to turn to for help.

Wings Reunited UK aims to be the first project of its kind in the country — offering support, guidance, practical tools, and hope.

🐦 What We’re Creating

We are working to launch Wings Reunited UK — a national platform for prevention, recovery, and public awareness about lost parrots.

Here’s what we’ll create with your support:

• A dedicated website to report and search for lost and found parrots

• A free downloadable toolkit for lost bird recovery (posters, checklists, advice)

• Our first awareness product: “Window Open – Bird Inside” door hangers to help prevent escapes

• A network of supporters, vets, rescues and bird owners across the UK

• The foundation for registering as a full non-profit and building future rescue services
