Every day, Ukrainian defenders sacrifice their lives and well-being in the battle against Russian aggression to safeguard their families, land, lives, and European borders. My goal is to raise funds for 100 certified Combat Application Tourniquet Gen 7, priced at £28 each. These tourniquets are crucial in saving the lives of our brave defenders, who could be someone's father, brother, or son. Allow me to explain why these specific tourniquets are so vital.
- The GEN7 C-A-T Tourniquet is the world's most effective solution, validated by the US Army Institute of Research with a 100% success rate in halting blood loss from veins and arteries, effectively controlling uncontrolled hemorrhages. Shocking NATO statistics reveal that, prior to the use of CAT tourniquets, approximately 75% of combat-related fatalities resulted from uncontrolled critical bleeding.
- These tourniquets are the simplest to use and can be applied with one hand. After an injury, there is an adrenaline surge, but as it subsides, the wounded individual experiences weakness, impaired fine motor skills, and often a loss of consciousness. They have only 1 to 3 minutes to stop the bleeding and save their own lives. The TQ can be applied with one hand and provides 100% assurance of effectiveness within 15-30 seconds. Properly applied, it only requires 2-3 rotations of the windlass rod to achieve full occlusion.
- Tragically, our defenders are often provided with cheaper Chinese alternatives when quality tourniquets are scarce.
