I think all that you have written about transparency and charitable enterprise is fantastic. I don't love the idea, the government should pay, they've earned enough in taxes over the past 35 years BUT the subbie must stay so any thing to help, I've been going their 25 - 30 years now... (& I lived in England for 7 of them but still went to the subbie) xx

The Sub Club has given me many, many brilliant nights and delivered great friends that I’ll treasure forever featuring fantastic DJs such as Andy Weatherall to Junior Boys Own to the always superb Harri and Domenic. From lights out for the big track at midnight to the crowd singing the track before it kicks in (e.g. The Horn Ride). It’s more than a club, it’s a beautiful community built on the sheer love of the music. Long may it continue. I’m happy to support the beating heart of Glasgow. Guy

The first time I ever visited Glasgow in 2008, I took a flight there on my own, with the simple purpose of experiencing the subclub. I'd been to Basics before and fabric many times and only heard about the subbie. On getting there I had one of the most pleasureable clubbing weekends at both subculture and Optimo - I didn't know anyone at the club but since then I have seen and understood the family and culture around the club, it is a belter. It is a longstanding culture like this, that deserves heavy respect. sent with the best of wishes and love

1 of the last iconic clubs left, it can't close, I regularly travel up from Leeds, an have introduced many to this club who can't believe it an love it as much as I do..

I think Subbie is an icon for both Glasgow and music in Scotland and this is part of Scottish history and should be supported.
