Last day today....
Hi everyone.
It’s my last crowd funding day today. I have about 6 hours to go until the dead line is done. I’ve been up since 5.45am thinking about it and hoping I reach the target! Up until now I’ve not worried about what I’ll do if I don’t make it. Got to keep the hope we will get there!
So thank you so much for becoming part of my crowd and supporting me on this journey! Please if you can think of anyone at all who may be interested in coming on board let them know about the crowdfunder and what I’m trying to achieve with your help!
This week has been super busy. I’ve bought big old arcs home from a farm in Dawlish in monsoon like rain, I’ve separated the piglets into same sex groups and set them up with new moveable pens that stop the ground being churned over. It’s kind of like cell grazing. I’ve been down to meet the head of the British Lop Society and come home with a boar and an in pig gilt from the oldest blood lines that date back to 1897. How cool is that??!!
Conservation is really important to me. The British Lop is a great pig. It doesn’t deserve to be on the ’at risk’ register of the Rare Breeds Trust. If you’re thinking about getting a pig I’d urge you to get one of these. They are easy to keep, docile and really really friendly. They are absolutely a better option than imported chlorinated chicken and cheap meats from over seas.
Keeping the faith for the rest of the day - more later,
Aaran
