THIS WILL AFFECT EVERYONE IN LYMINGTON
The new developments that have been granted planning by NFDC will cause chaos on the already busy stretch of the arterial Milford Road (A337).
At the accident black spot by the Tip Road, NFDC is proposing two more junctions, (north and south of the road) with the addition of a pedestrian crossing. Traffic volumes for the proposal were measured during lockdown when there were hardly any vehicles on the road.
The road is already extremely busy with haulage vehicles entering and exiting the Tip Road every two minutes as well as a bus stop. It is already gridlocked on this stretch at times as well as being the location of frequent accidents.
The proposed new road layout is insane and dangerous.
Emergency vehicles would struggle to navigate THREE LANES of traffic and a PEDESTRIAN CROSSING.
Additionally, any properties adjacent to the sites are liable to flood as the building is to take place on a green-belt flood plain.
Lymington Town Council REFUSED the development because of the above points. NFDC IGNORED these serious concerns.
The site is a a former landfill site - will this turn out to be toxic waste?
