Our aim is to raise funds to keep the Tivoli open post C19, for future generations to have a springboard for their career in the arts.

As teachers of the arts, The Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne holds a very special place in our hearts. We have worked with the theatre and it's amazing staff for many years, producing annual shows and even a tenth anniversary concert there, we have had students complete work experience there, we have had students employed there permanently, we even have students starring in their Christmas pantomime, in short; creating experiences that have been the highlight of our teaching careers and the highlight of many young people's time in education. Most importantly, we have seen the Tivoli become a springboard for many students who have since progressed to further training or a career in the performing arts. With the current threat to theatre and the arts, due to Covid 19 closures, and the future very unclear, we wanted to do something to help ensure the Tivoli is still there on the other side of this, not just for the community of Wimborne but for future generations of young people who deserve their chance to shine. It is clear in the press today alone, how much of a huge national problem theatres are facing but I believe we need to save our local community theatres first and foremost, as without them we won't have future generations of performers, directors and designers.
