The Abbey Wood Memorial Garden is a publicly funded project in desperate need of funding to make essential improvements for disabled access.

The Abbey Wood Memorial Garden

Dedicated to the memory of all those who have died in armed conflict.

The Abbey Wood Memorial Garden has existed now for over 10 years. In that time, it has been a peaceful refuge for those wishing to remember loved ones lost in armed conflict. In its early days, we had a lot of support from the local authority and various local businesses, especially those construction companies involved in the building of the Elizabeth Line. We now need to make substantial improvements in order to make the garden more accessible for disabled visitors. This will involve major upgrade work on the footpaths which is expensive and requires a level of skill that is beyond the abilities of its aging volunteers. We also need to repair and replace much of the garden infrastructure that has become damaged over the years.
