Keep Swansea Aquatics Afloat!

City of Swansea Aquatics Club is struggling with rising costs, and we urgently need your support to raise £25,000 to ensure we can provide access to performance swimming in Swansea

Why we need you to help:

City of Swansea Aquatics has been at the heart of the swimming community in Swansea for over 100 years, supporting swimmers of all ages to train, compete, and thrive.

Like many community sports clubs, we’ve faced real challenges since the pandemic. Membership numbers haven’t fully returned, and the rising costs of pool hire and hosting competitions are putting increasing strain on our not-for-profit club.

To continue offering the high-quality coaching, training, and competitive opportunities that have helped shape so many swimmers, we need your help.

Without timely support, we may be forced to reduce sessions and events—changes that could impact the future of the club and the opportunities it offers young people across Swansea and beyond.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference. Together, we can help secure the future of City of Swansea Aquatics and keep our swimmers in the water where they belong.

We’re more than a club, we’re a community, and we need your help to keep Swansea Aquatics swimming!

How the Funds Will Be Used:

- Facility hire and operational costs

- Essential travel and coaching expenses

- Support continued professional development of all our coaches

- Support underfunded swimmers and families

- Support para-swimmers through the classification process

- Develop and expand the reach of Swansea Aquatics to cater for all swimming disciplines

What Happens if We Don’t Reach Our Target?

Unfortunately, the club’s future will be uncertain. Reduced sessions, fewer competitions, and the future of the club as we know it could be at serious risk. That would mean the loss of a vital sports space for young people in Swansea and beyond.

Who We Are

Swansea Aquatics was set up in 1919, and is a Swim Wales National Performance Club and one of the UK’s most respected swimming clubs. We offer performance pathways from beginners through to elite competitors, representing Wales and Great Britain. We have had swimmers compete in the British Championship, Commonwealth Games, Paralympic and Olympic Games. We want to carry on producing future champions for the next 100 years.

We’re run by dedicated coaches and volunteers who give their all to help young swimmers thrive—both in the pool and in life.
